Toy Manchester Terrier (English Toy Terrier)

 

 

The Toy Manchester Terrier is descended from small Manchester Terriers, with a dash of Italian Greyhound, which shows itself in the breed's slightly arched back.

Although exhibiting typical terrier character traits, this breed is very gently.  Toy Manchester Terriers are lively companion dogs and are especially suitable for city dwellers.

Appearance

Sleek, racy, and compact, the Manchester Terrier is longer than it is tall, with a slightly arched topline and a keen, alert expression.  The wedge-shaped head is toped by large, erect ears with pointed tips.  The short, dense coat is a glossy black and a rich mahogany tan.

Grooming Requirements:    Minimal

Life Expectancy:    14-16 years

Things to Consider

  1. This breed sometimes displays aggression.
