Pharaoh Hound

These dignified dogs have a long, venerable ancestry. Pharaoh Hounds originated in ancient Egypt, where they have existed for more than two thousand years. In Malta, where the Pharaoh Hound is the national dog, they are bred for rabbit hunting. With their keen hearing and eyesight, they make excellent watchdogs.
