Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen

This short-legged, rough-coated scent hound was bred in the Vendee region of France to hunt small game over difficult and rough terrain.  It is descended from the larger Grand Griffon Vendeen and was selectively bred to retain the fearlessness and energy of its larger ancestor.
