Maltese

The Maltese originated almost 3,000 years ago on the Mediterranean island of Malta, where this breed's isolation has led to a fabulous canine specimen. They are striking dogs with big characters and gregarious natures. They enjoy daily indoor romps and a short walk on a leash, but they are not great outdoor dogs.
