English Toy Spaniel

The English Toy Spaniel (known in the UK as the King Charles Spaniel) shares an identical early history with the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Popular as "comforters" or companion dogs, spaniels grew in popularity during the seventeenth century, partly because of the fashion set by King Charles III. These dogs are not overly active, but they do enjoy a walk on a leash and fun games.
